Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These days, when people think of important classroom supplies, their first thought is computers. It seems that everything uses technology nowadays, and that students spend all day on a computer.
What if I told you the three most important classroom supplies are pencils, paper and tissues?
Much of the work my students complete is still done the "old-fashioned" way with a pencil and paper. Because of this, my supply of pencils runs out pretty quickly. I always want to have a supply of pencils my students can use without requiring their families to spend even more money on school supplies. Knowing they have the supplies they need, my students can focus more on learning new things and showing what they know. Having erasers will also help my students when they make a mistake and must start their work again. Finally, having a supply of tissues and paper towels is important, especially during this cold and flu season and with spring allergy season quickly approaching. Having all these basic supplies will help my students immensely as they continue working hard to master 4th grade.
