My Students
My enthusiastic Kindergartners come from a low-socioeconomic background. For most, this is their first time in school and they are so excited to be there and to learn! Most times, my classroom is their place to get away from the hardships of home-life, and have fun while learning! My students come with many different abilities they are unaware of yet, and it is my job to help them blossom and showcase their abilities. My students have a love and passion for learning and school is what keeps me going, day in and day out!
My Project
Kindergarten is such a hands on and fun grade to teach! Sadly, my students have nothing at home, therefore they are unable to even buy basic school supplies like crayons, pencils, paper, etc. This project will help my students come to school without having the burden of having to buy school supplies. It will provide me with the opportunity to give my students a fair chance at learning! These basic supplies will allow ALL of my students to participate and enjoy all of the fun that Kindergarten has to offer! This project will also allow my parents to focus solely on their child's academic progress without having to worry about how they are going to find funds to pay for the basic school supplies!
Pencils, Markers, Crayons, Dot Art Painters, and supply caddies will allow my students the tools to create art projects as well as complete daily activities such as drawing and writing which are so crucial in Kindergarten!
Journals, Book Boxes, Read-Along Books, and magnetic letters will aid my students in the reading and writing process. It will allow them to practice reading fluency and well as organize their books and the journals will help them express their feelings and practice handwriting.
The drawer organizer and paper organizer will help keep my classroom and supplies organized while my students are independently learning at centers!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
