My Students
My second graders come from all walks of life in our rural school district. We have some students living in poverty, those whose families own businesses, and everyone in between.
What I love most about my kids is their excitement and love for learning.
They see the joy in every day at school. Our school is small but close-knit; like a family, and we want to make sure our students continue to love, enjoy, and find excitement in every school day.
I teach both classes of second graders at our school, which is only a total of 33 students altogether. Small as we may be, it allows for so much more individualized learning and super-fun projects and activities! A small donation will go a long way with this group.
My Project
These art supplies will stock my art center which the students use every day. These materials will ensure that they can be creative and have fun while learning!
I love to see the sparkle in my student's eyes when they see new art supplies - just thinking about using paint, glitter, or fresh new markers gets them so excited every time!
When we are showing what we're thinking about or creating in class, I want my students to be able to use any art supply they need to express themselves. I know that giving them the opportunity to use paint more often will not only bring out their creative side but get them excited for what to do in class each day.
