The Art of the Chop: Turning Cardboard into Creativity
Help me give my students opportunities to create, imagine and upcycle. We use a chop saw in our art classroom as a safe and efficient tool for upcycling Amazon boxes and other cardboard materials.

My Project
We currently have four of these ChompSaws in our classroom, but with classes of around 25 students, there's always a line to use them. This limits the amount of hands-on time each student gets and slows down the creative process. Adding more ChompSaws would give students more opportunities to experiment, build, and create without waiting. These very safe machines are a favorite among the students—they absolutely love using them! This is my highest engagement activity, and the creativity that flows when they have access to these tools is incredible. More saws would mean more opportunities for students to dive into upcycling, design, and creative exploration. More saws equals more creativity in action!
