My students need some simple tools like a laminator, a photo printer, and a Xyron Creative Station so they can turn their artwork into calendars, magnets, prints, and so many more great fundraising projects.

My Students
Many of my students have grown up in refugee camps and projects. They have never seen the vivid colors and beauty of the world. I want to inspire them through art!!
Ninety percent of the students I teach are Title One students.
They come to school to learn and often to eat. It is a gift to get to work with them, for every moment of learning is a world of wonder revealing itself to them. I am teaching them to understand the world around them through art, not through the violence and despair through which so many of them have seen but through the beauty and glory of the natural world.
My Project
In our school, parents adore their children’s artwork. With some simple tools like a laminator, a photo printer, and a Xyron Creative Station we can make our students’ artwork into calendars, magnets, prints, and so much more. With these beautiful art products, students will be able to raise funds for important events like graduations and field trips.
These fundraisers will help teach students Financial Literacy, like goal setting, basic math skills, beginning business skills and responsibility.
By teaching our students how to manage fundraisers and sell their art products, we are providing life skills that that will stay with them forever!
