This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As part of our ongoing work in raising awareness and defying myths about mental health, we are highlighting different activities promoting self-care and healthy coping skills These snacks, fidgets, and art supplies will serve as a way to destress and show students that they can have fun while learning about mental health. The hockey table game and dart board will also provide an opportunity for community building and cooperation. We hope to use these items as rewards to promote participation in our mental health fair and ongoing support groups. These items will give our students a chance to destress in a supportive and safe environment.
