This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are desperate for knowledge and the new life that education can bring them. After a the year that they have had with no consistency some may not have even gone to school since they are kindergartners I need to provide them with the best education as I can. With the short time I have spent with them I already know that they love to hear funny stories which is why I hope to include secret stories into my curriculum.
My Project
Using Secret stories in my classroom will help my kindergartners read and write quickly. I plan to use Secret stories during my phonics instruction to introduce to the different letters and tell them the "Secret" of why letters get together and they make the sound that they make. Kindergartners love stories and secrets so I know this product will help keep them engage and remember the skills even more.
I will also, use the stories in writing with the posters around the room for them to use as a reference as they write on their own.
