My Project

As a passionate 3rd-grade teacher dedicated to fostering a love of learning, I am eager to creatively integrate core math concepts with the arts to deepen my students’ understanding and engagement. Each of my students brings a unique personality and perspective to the classroom, and I believe that connecting math to art will spark their natural curiosity and inspire them to explore new ideas. By incorporating art materials such as Crayola Washable Watercolor, Crayola Model Magic Modeling Compound, and Crayola Washable Paints into lessons on geometry, fractions, patterns, and measurement, I plan to design hands-on projects that invite students to ask questions, experiment, and discover math in exciting, tangible ways. This interdisciplinary approach not only reinforces important math concepts but also encourages critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. With the support of this funding, I can provide my students with the tools they need to connect abstract math ideas to real-world applications through artistic expression, making learning both joyful and deeply engaging for every curious mind.
