Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work at a title 1 school where everyone qualifies for free lunch. Our students work hard and have little time or money for extra curricular activities such as art.
My art class may be the only time our kids get to experience art, so we want to make the experience as special as we can.
We have a great program with great teachers. However, there are a few items we would like to provide that just is not in our budget.
My Project
My students need games and activities that reinforce the art skills and concepts they are learning in class in a fun and engaging way.
Our class needs trivia games, work books, and board games for daily warms ups to reinforce topics earned in class.
We need games to be available for fast finishers to freshen up on their drawing skills, and enforce what they have learned.
I want to make art fun and entertaining and there is no better way than through games and activities. These donations will help create a more engaging and fun classroom environment. Help us bring art into the ckassroom.
