This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The tools that I am asking for are used to create a type of art called felting. Felting requires students to use manipulation skills, patience, creativity, and sculpturing skills in the art room. I like for students to explore different ways to build and engineer different types of 3D art, allowing them the opportunity to exercise this side of their brain. Which in return can enhance their abilities later on in career choices that are hands-on and exploratory.

My goal is for my students to learn a completely new medium of art and give them the opportunity to explore 3D art even further.

My students are special because they have the open-mindedness and willingness to learn new types of art and are always willing to fail and try again in our art room. They never cease to amaze me with their creativity and how quickly they pick up on new techniques.
