Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach an amazing group of fifth graders. My students show up every day with a passion and drive to learn. They love to read and are excellent mathematicians!
Their enthusiasm about school and learning inspires me to be the best teacher I can be.
They are a unique group of students with individual needs and talents that I try to address on a daily basis. I am lucky to be able to work with such creative, ambitious, and hard-working students!
My Project
Cursive writing? In this day of technology some might feel that cursive writing is not relevant. However, there are going to be situations where students will be asked to sign their names or read a document that is written in cursive.
Knowing how to read and write in cursive is still important.
I'm hoping this project will get funded so I can help students learn the lost art of cursive writing. Students really love to learn how to write in cursive- it's the one time I am guaranteed to have everyone working on task and enjoying what they are doing!
