Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Over 80% of the students at our high school identify as Latina/o. This project allows students to pursue their own interests and connections to Latino/Latina history and culture. Students choose topics that cover the gamut of Latina/o culture based on their own personal and academic interests. This equipment will allow them to curate and complete their work at school.
The printer and laptop will help them complete our community outreach project--the Alma Presentation--in which they present their research in a visual representation that they present and defend in a community celebration.
Students present their work during an evening of food and music that brings our families and school together.
