it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a devoted teacher, I love my students and I have a great relationship with them based on mutual respect and trust.. They are hard workers, involved learners, leaders, motivated and problem solvers. They are curious learners who ask questions and know how to seize opportunities.
My school, a charter middle school, was designed as a small school alternative for the East End's children.
It has been recognized as a National Title I Distinguished School, an award that honors schools for their positive educational advances. The school is one of two in the state of Texas and one of only 63 nationwide to receive the designation.
Teachers and staff are committed to creating and maintaining an environment which ensures that each student reaches a high level of academic achievement by demonstrating mastery of grade level objectives set by the district, state and nation.
My Project
The current classroom camera projector is very outdated and delivers a poor wall picture of the material to be taught. It also needs to be adjusted by the IT department frequently, sometimes mid-session. These regular disruptions often cause students to lose interest, or start chatting among themselves as they wait for the next part of the lesson. Then, more time would be wasted on classroom management.
With the new camera projector I can focus my full time delivering engaging lessons without the burden of any interruptions due to technology failures, waiting for IT and transitioning back and forth from board to projector.
