My Students
The school where I teach is a partnership school in a low-socioeconomic neighborhood that used to be part of Michigan's Education Authority Act. My school has had teachers come and go, and students have not really been exposed to a consistent teaching method. But despite their environment, their circumstances, and despite those teachers who left, these kids are some of the most resilient kids I've met. Since I've been here, I've seen tremendous growth in the relationship that I have with my students. They haven't given up on building relationships with teachers who care about them and their education.
My Project
The variety of materials offered in the packages ordered will truly help me help my students develop their fine motor and gross motor skills beyond their traditional P.E. class. I want for my kids to have a P.E. experience that includes a variety of equipment and not just your typical basketball and dodgeball. I want them to experience a variety of ways to be physically active and to enjoy it to the point where they can develop a lifelong love and appreciation for living a healthy lifestyle, being physically active, and building healthy relationships that may come along with it.
