My Project
Picture sitting on a hard, cold, industrial floor to read a book. Doesn't sound too inviting? First graders love to sit on the floor. A brand new, plush, inviting carpet will give my students an atmosphere that will improve learning. Although we have a carpet, it has fallen prey to sickness and bodily fluids... YUCK! Even the steam cleaner wants to avoid it! Please help us to get a brand new one:)
My students need a large carpet area to make this a comfortable activity.
When students are surrounded by comfort, color, and a pleasant environment it will improve their learning. Students will be more engaged and ready to listen and communicate. If students are uncomfortable they will not be as willing to meet in groups.
