This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an eager bunch. They come to class at different levels of English proficiency, some of the students have never step foot in a classroom in their country, but that doesn’t stop their excitement to learn new topics and concepts. They work hard to learn the English language.

I work at a Title I school, we're always looking for new ways to reach my students to facilitate their learning.

Our students receive both free breakfast and lunch. For some, this is the only meals they receive throughout their day.

My Project

The English Language Learner Games Library, Tricky Words & Phrases Teaching Cards - Set 1 & 2 will help the students earn confidence as they acquire their new language. Figurative language is difficult for some students to understand, these material offers vivid colors and pictures for easy understanding.

The students will work on building their skills in grammar and vocabulary.

Then work out the sentences on the easel and display their work on it. The magnetic letters will be used to work on sight words and phonic awareness.

The materials will be centrally located on the easel for easy access. The games would made English acquisition fun, the easel would be used for some hands on activities display. The materials will be used to cultivate an understanding and a fun way to acquire the English language.
