This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students will benefit from having a variety of tools to help regulate their emotions. Each of my students have a variety of needs, as unique as they are. Adding items like fidgets and a calming corner kit to my classroom will help them focus on the lessons, and transitions with ease. My students need tools to cope during the transition from home to school.
My students are very active, and like hands-on activities, as well as having sensory experiences throughout the day.
These items will help me create a sensory area for my students to go and decompress. My students are very creative, curious, and enjoy having new experiences and new areas to explore.
