This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love to apply what they learn in class. In class they learn about urinalysis, radiology, starting IVs and how to read and interpret medical results. They are always excited when it comes time to practice these skills. But sometimes these skills and content can be challenging to learn, remember and visualize.
Students learn best with visuals, mnemonics, and easy to relate examples.
The textbooks and reference books are a valuable tool for any future clinician. The students will be able to see different cell types for their blood samples, look at diagrams with tips on IV placement, and refer to the text for clear examples on isolating bacteria from samples.
