This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our current supply of headphones, crucial for standardized testing such as the STAAR test, has been severely depleted due to wear and tear, and unfortunately, some accidental damage. As a result, I am in urgent need of new headphones to ensure that every student can participate in these essential assessments without disruption especially the student population that needs text to speech accommodations.
The STAAR test is a vital measure of our students' progress and achievement, helping us to identify areas where additional support may be needed.
Without proper headphones, students may struggle to focus and perform to the best of their abilities.
I am as well asking for the donation of a monitor for esports so that the students that are part of the team may practice for upcoming competitions, we do not have enough tech resources to provide monitors for them at this time and so students are often having to share one screen with the rest of the team.
