My Students

Most of my scholars come from low-income households. My scholars face many challenges, both inside and outside of the classroom. Because of these challenges, I want to give my scholars a meaningful experience when they are with me.

My scholars love coming to school and I am hoping to further inspire their love of learning.

I want my students to feel both seen and heard within our classroom.

My Project

As a Reading teacher, I want my scholars to read books where they see themselves in the main characters. Our classroom library is very large, but I am hoping to make it more diverse and inclusive.

I want my scholars to know that no matter what, they are capable of doing anything and everything in this world!

I am hoping that my scholars will be able to read these chapter books and connect the text with their own personal lives.

I also want to provide books that are about the interests of my scholars, such as YouTube, basketball, and ninjas!
