My Project
After all of our mandated testing is completed, my eager first graders deserve to have some fun while continuing to learn. During the last few weeks of school, we try to bring in some fun hands on learning while the rest of the school is still testing.
Help my students learn about ocean life through creative art projects.
During this week long study, my students will learn about jellyfish, seahorses, coral, and other creatures found within the ocean. These materials will be used to create the different creatures we learn about.
Since we do not have a regular scheduled art class during the year, students will also learn how to use the different art materials throughout our unit of study. The model magic, paint sticks, and oil pastels we give my students a chance to work with different art media to produce their oceanography masterpieces.
