Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
During April and May, state testing begins. My seventh and eighth grade students will take Mathematics, part 1 & 2 and Reading, part 1 & 2. My eighth grade students will also take Science, part 1 & 2.
My students want to do well and show growth on the Ohio State tests!
My students completed assessments at the beginning of the school year and again in the winter. Using the results from the assessments, each of my students created a "My Story". Their story shows their growth, the goals they set for the state test, and their plan to reach those goals.
The testing sessions can be long, stressful and tiring. This project will provide snacks, hard candy and treats to help my students stay focused and do their best throughout each testing session. It's hard to concentrate with a hungry belly. My students and I would appreciate your support! We hope you will choose us!
