This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My environmental science class was asked what topics they wanted to learn the most about this semester and the number one answer was: water. In class we have been learning about different types of water tests, and what types of factors can impact fresh water supplies, especially those that enter our homes and our school.
We need water testing kits so that we can get some hands-on lab experience with actually testing our water supply!
This kit will provide us with enough materials for all of our students to have hands-on experience with running a variety of different tests on our drinking water. We would like to have the opportunity to not only test the water in our school, but for students to bring in samples from their community to test as well. The best way to do this is to get a full class set of testing materials for them to use.
