My students need 8 Scrabble games and 8 Spanish-English dictionaries.

I teach high school Spanish at a high needs school in New York. I teach students in grades 9-12.
My students are always asking me "How do I say ______?" My goal is to help give them the confidence to produce their own vocabulary. What better way to do this than a game?
We need 8 Scrabble games so all students can play (4 to each game board) as well as 8 Spanish-English dictionaries to accompany each game. Giving my students the opportunity to come up with and discover Spanish vocabulary while having fun will help them in several ways. Playing Scrabble in this way will give them more confidence in their abilities to use language in a natural way. This will be beneficial to them when they take the regents exam their junior year, and also when enrolled in faster paced college Spanish classes. My students will also have an opportunity to improve their dictionary skills. This is a skill that can be difficult to incorporate into class each day, but by playing scrabble and challenging their opponents words, my students will become excellent life-long dictionary users.
Your help will ensure that my students improve their vocabulary and become more confident using the words they already know. You will also provide an opportunity for them to practice correctly using a bilingual dictionary which is an important skill for future college students.
