I've seen so many students struggle with reading and math too early in life and end up disliking school as a result. My hope is that students embrace learning so that it stops being an obstacle!
Our students have so much potential!
Students get discouraged when they don't think they have a world of opportunity. They are bright and caring. They need to be believed in and cared about. They need to discover all the opportunities they have and these iPads will help them explore learning on a new level.
My Project
My students need two iPads to access the many reading and math apps available. They also need protective cases to ensure they do not get broken! I have discovered some really awesome apps for reading and math for Apple technology. I am truly amazed at how many are free and really engaging! My main goal is to allow students to use these iPads to practice basic reading components such as letters sounds, letter recognition, and sight words and basic number sense and addition. This will greatly improve my ability to help them advance in their abilities!
I have seen too many students dislike school because they struggle.
Technology opens many doors. If students learn to like and embrace learning through technology, they can truly do anything they put their minds to. I want my students to do anything they desire! These iPads will give students the opportunity to explore learning and develop a love for learning.
