Tennis for Everyone!

My students need a new net, tennis rackets, and balls to complete our tennis unit.

My Students

My students are awesome! They come from a Title One school and our funding for physical education is zero. All of the money is put towards reading and math, which is extremely important, but that doesn't help my students in physical education. My students have not been introduced to racquet, activities since we don't have the funds to purchase this equipment. I would love to give them the experience to learn new games.

Our students are eager to learn and play new games in physical education.

Every day they come with lots of energy and want to move and become physically fit. We have many different students that come to us with different sports backgrounds. I think many of our students would benefit by learning new sports like tennis and badminton, but we just don't have the materials.

My Project

Our students love sports and love playing new games. With our class sizes, we need to have enough equipment for everyone to be successful. We have two courts, one needing a new net, which are big enough to hold my classes. We just don't have enough equipment to get everyone involved. The net I am requesting will give us two courts to use and the tennis rackets and balls will allow all students to participate at the same time without having anyone waiting for a turn.

With this donation, all of our students will be able to be active then entire time with no one sitting around!

Our students have always wanted to use the tennis court and now this will give them an opportunity to do so. My students will be so excited to play and learn a new game!
