Ten Frames and Storage Boost Healthy Learning About Financial Literacy
Help me give my students ten-frame pop boards as financial literacy tools and a storage box for a place to store them so they can stay safe and healthy.
Help support my students in staying healthy while learning about financial literacy. My students are eager to learn about financial literacy, but in this day and age sharing materials is not conducive to staying healthy.
Please help my students by getting them these individual ten-frame pop its which they can use to learn how to represent different coin amounts such as nickels and dimes and a place to store them so that no one else will touch them keeping them safe and healthy.
As my students learn about money, it is often difficult for them as first graders to see that nickels and dimes can be represented by different amounts of money. They can even put pennies on the pushed-in pop it's to see the creation of a nickel or dime. We can use these pop its to show that a nickel is represented by 5 pennies and they can visually see the grouping and the same with dimes using 1 or 2 rows. Each child will have their own materials that won't get lost and they can use them to play financial literacy games and count using them to represent money.
My students also need a place to store their financial literacy materials where no one else will touch them as there is after school in our classroom and we don't want any cross-contamination of germs. Right now as educators we not only have to teach about important topics like financial literacy but we also have to keep our children healthy and safe from germs. With each child having their own ten frame pop it and a special storage space I can do just that. So please help support my students in learning about financial literacy while staying safe and healthy.
