My students need ruled writing paper with space for adding illustrations and pictures. They also need flair pens to write their stories in their best penmanship!
My students arrive to school excited and eager to learn. They are curious about their world and love learning through fun, hands-on activities. Our school is in a small rural community filled with students yearning to discover new things. On a daily basis I hear, "I love school!"
Educating a child is all about experience, cooperation, collaboration, and communication.
As a teacher, it is my passion to do whatever I can to give all of my students the opportunity to learn through unique experiences.
My Project
My first grade students are amazing authors! They soak up our writing lessons and write pages of stories every day. As they author more pages, they are becoming more confident and engaged in school. They are so focused and driven, that they have already used all of the paper and pens that was supplied to me at the beginning of the year. I do not want them to slow down just because we are out of paper or have a limited number of copies.
Every day my students hear me say, "Stories are everywhere!" They are working feverishly to tell me their stories.
They think writing is fun because they get to use pens in writing class. Funding this project will keep their pens flowing and their stories growing!
