This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have been denied the opportunity to socialize with their peers. They are struggling with learning how to function in large groups of children their own age. They are unaware of their potential to be independent learners and leaders. Creating a nurturing environment where the students feel safe will foster a positive learning experience and prepare them for their educational future. The new carpet will be used for group learning times and for the blocks during centers. Kids who struggle with falling asleep during nap time will sleep on the new carpet. The shelves will be used to help the children organize the classroom toys and independence by cleaning up after playtime. The outdoor table is for kids to pretend play real life situations while being outdoors. The new mat cart will help our classroom follow our licensing rules and will also promote organization.
