Teleport And Experience A New World With Books

Help me give my students new independent reading options. I would love to have interesting titles available to loan out to my students that range from lower level, on level, and more advanced reading- something for everyone!

My Project

The best part about teaching is the students themselves. I love getting to know each unique personality and watching them grow throughout the school year as an individual. While we complete many required reading assignments in class, I do not see many students read independently as much as I would like.

Independent reading among students is usually rare.

Unfortunately, COVID and online learning did not help encourage students to read independently. Reading helps children make sense of the world around them. It also helps build social-emotional skills and fosters imagination.

Having new and interesting books from a variety of authors at a variety of reading levels will help encourage my students to find a book they connect with! My hope is to use these books to build a mini library in my classroom that students can check out for independent reading. This will be a great start to my classroom collection!
