My Project
My request for these journals are for the 15 girls we mentor afterschool. The journal would be a tangible strategy the girls will use to address and overcome anxiety and other negative emotions they face. In our teen girl sessions, we target self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management, the four components of Emotional Intelligence. When the emotional intelligence areas of girls are addressed and strengthened, they are equipped to accomplish goals they never thought they could because they are more focused and productive in their academic and social environments. We consistently get feedback that their family relations are improving.
