Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach child development to teens and after they learn about pregnancy and childbirth we have a project where they have to take care of a pretend baby for a week and report on their daily adventures in caring for a newborn. It would be truly life changing to be able to have these real life baby simulators that actually cry to be fed and changed. This would be an eye-opening experience for my 16-18 year olds who are about to go out into the real world. My class is the only class that teaches these real-life scenarios and these simulators would be AMAZING!
