it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students

I have a fantastic group of fifth graders this year!
They make everyday fun and enjoyable! They are sweet, kind, and love learning new things! Our school is located in a low socioeconomic area and over 80% of our students receive free or reduced price lunch. All of our students start the day off right with breakfast in the classroom!
My Project
I am a T-shirt loving teacher! I have many "teacher" shirts that I enjoy wearing on Fridays. I think it would be incredible for my whole class to design a couple of shirts of their very own! This way we could show our class spirit and unity on Fridays! I will teach my kiddos about colors, the color wheel, and how to mix colors. We will also watch some videos on the subject and practice with watercolors. Next, on to the technology! I am requesting the fabric transfers so that my students will be able to design their own creative fabric transfer on their Chromebooks! This will be an amazing experience! After they submit it to me, I will print it with our color classroom printer! This is where the ink comes in. They create another one later in the year for Pi Day or Read Across America Day. I know my class will enjoy this activity and they will be so grateful for the opportunity to have some new shirts. They will be proud to wear them on our field trips!
This project will bring art and technology together!
