it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students

My students come to school each year eager to learn and seeking understanding of the world around them.
The kindergarten students I teach live in an urban neighborhood with the majority of the families living below the poverty line. A high percentage of the students in my class are also English language learners.
Our school is located in the inner city and my students face daily economic and social challenges. Regardless of their disadvantages, my students are excited for school and I want to help create lessons that will enrich their lives. For many of my students this is their first time at school and many have had few learning experience outside their neighborhood.
My Project
My school has limited access to new technology. My project requests an LCD projector and is important because my students often only have access to technology at school. I work diligently to create new learning experiences so my students feel successful.
The LCD projector will allow me to bring vocabulary lessons to life through the projection of images, text, video and graphics. The LCD projector will enhance all lessons in Reading, Math, Science, Art, and Social Studies. The projector will also assist my English language learners in understanding new curriculum and by visually enriching their learning. For all my students, alphabet letter & sight word recognition will come to life through projected print and video images.
The difference I try to make in my students lives is opening up their eyes to a world that they have not experienced yet.
My goal is for my students to succeed in the classroom and become active life long learners. A new LCD projector will give my students an advantage in learning!
