Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are Special education students, in the AIM program. They have learning disabilities that range very differently with every student. Some have autism, emotionally disturbed, ADHD, etc. These students need visuals to learn what they are given to learn. They also are very willing to learn and become better students, but they need the equipment to do so. The AIM teachers at our school believe that we can improve their grade levels in any subject to at grade level standards.
My Project
My AIM Students are in need of iPads to be able to do any of their work form their online classes. Most of my students have a hard time keeping their own computers in good shape.
We use MACs in our schools and they are very expensive to fix for our special needs students, who break them.
Most of our parents in this area are having a hard time with their finances.
So it would be nice to have extra technology to use for this students, when their MACs break down.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
