Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is a Title I school, which means that the majority of the students are low-income students. A great number of our students are new to the country and are English as a Second Language students. As new immigrants, they struggle to adjust to our culture, system and learning our language.
We need to improve our access and training in technology to ensure a world-class education.
Please consider donating to help our class build on a strong foundation to reach our academic goals.
My Project
My students are motivated, eager-to-learn, respectful, curious, deserving and generally low income. I love the students I teach. They are eager to learn, but have not always had the opportunity to use technology in the classroom. Many of my students have previously had a bad experience with technology, and I want to change their perception. I love technology, love to teach Spanish, and love to integrate both. Although the challenge is great, it is worth the effort. Seeing a student get all motivated to learn is truly well worth it.
From the simplest things such as baskets for students to put their materials to the more sophisticated ones like the tablet, all the materials will enhance the class environment.
Students love color, yet my printer is black and white. Imagine if you had to print all your documents in black and white. I want to be able to give my students reward certificates in color and of course, they need to also have some "treasures" from the treasure chest to celebrate their accomplishments. I want them to be able to use the flash drive to pack up their projects and work on them where ever they are. We can write up our goals and prominently post them in the see-through magnetic paper pockets and reusable write and wipe pockets that we will hang up using Removable Mounting Putty.
