My students need 9 tablets so they can complete activities, and enhance their technology use. They also need a projector to complete visual lessons, and further understand technology and it uses.
My students are very special to me. I have 20 children with 8 having IEP's. They all want to learn and grow into intelligent students. They have the drive in them to learn, but without the resources needed to learn, it is impossible. My students are very smart and will work with what they have, but, their learning could be enhanced with the utilization of a smart board. Technology is needed for most of my lessons and it will help me work on my professional growth initiative. The neighborhood is listed as the highest crime rated area in my city. We have 100% free lunch. The poverty level is high. My students are worth the sacrifice because they work hard and are determined to succeed.
My Project
The donations to this project will make a difference with my students' learning. The use of technology(tablets and a projector) will enhance their learning abilities and help them develop focus skills. It will allow them to experience the use of technology as they work towards their academic goals. Everywhere you look, someone is on their cell phone, or on their computer. Technology in my Pre-K classroom will allow my students to learn computer, tablet and phone skills. Children are born leaders so it is our jobs as educators to equip them with the tools needed to succeed. Technology is the main one because everything we teach involves technology.
