Technology Uplift, Please!

Help me give my students a technology upgrade! We need some new headphones, a portable speaker, and an electronic pencil sharpener!

My Students

I started with these students in the 6th grade and loved them so much I decided to move up to 7th grade with them. The students endured a rigorous year of me trying to inspire them to be the best version of themselves whether or not they loved school. My students and I were awarded the most growth in English and Math in the entire school district. Needless to say, these students worked extremely hard! I want to inspire them to keep that growth going by rewarding them throughout the year.

What makes my students so special is the community that they have built is the most beautiful aspect of it all. They are friends with everyone, maybe not the best of friends, but they can work with and find commonalities with everyone in their class. They welcome new students and appreciate everyone for who they are.

My Project

Our classroom needs a technology lift and upgrade! We do almost everything on our computers in class, so it is nice to have the proper tools to assist with that.

Who doesn't need an upgrade every once in a while?

Our headphones need an upgrade so that students can focus during their listening center. This will be helpful because students often get distracted by the other lessons that are being taught in the classroom, therefore with these nicer headphones, they won't be able to hear all of the other conversations going on around them. This is especially helpful for the special needs students!

Our speakers are really difficult to hear in the back of the classroom, this portable speaker will be beneficial because we can set it in the middle of the classroom or move it around to get the best sound quality.

The current electronic pencil sharper is from 1980 and is taped together very delicately. It only works if you hold it a certain way. This new and quiet pencil sharpener will not only help with our pencils, but assist with our colored wax pencils as well.
