Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are vibrant and eager to learn! I enjoy spending my work week working with them and teaching them. These young minds inspire me every day!
Some of my students struggle with mathematical basic skills and some are language impaired.
This means that I must use various strategies to accommodate their needs. Technology helps them meet the goals we set and they take ownership for their learning. They are able to work with their peers on projects within the classroom together.
My Project
Technology in the classroom increases overall performance. I want to provide my students with every opportunity to be successful. The laptops will make the learning environment productive.
The students will use these laptops on a daily basis to access different programs such as I-ready, Reflex, Sum Dog and Discovery for science activities.
This will increase their accuracy and build their self confidence, which will lead to better performance.
Various strategies will help accommodate my students' needs and make them eager to use these materials. My students will enjoy coming and taking part of the learning environment with their peers.
