I am in need of a functional laptop that I am able to use with my students at school, but that I can also use outside of school. As a STEAM Lab teacher, I use a lot of technology in my classroom with students, as we explore integrating technology into our science and engineering leaning. But, in addition, I also use a lot of technology outside of my classroom as well.
As a NGSS/Science Education representative and Technology Ambassador, I attend a variety of trainings with the expectation to bring that training back to classroom teachers.
This requires additional technology beyond what I currently have in my classroom.
Not only do I participate in a lot of education organizations and professional development, I also use a computer to maintain and add to my own classroom website that I use with my students. I can better deliver lessons and activities with a new, portable computer.
