My Students
My third graders consist of a lively bunch of students who come from a culturally diverse population. My students are from an urban public school and are valuable members that create a caring community with their peers, teachers, and staff.
Everyday I learn something new about my students and I adapt my teaching/classroom to meet their needs.
Each student brings a wide range of valuable skills, experiences and learning styles. I enjoy their excitement and curiosity about learning - this is the reason why I'm their teacher!
My Project
Recently, my school was able to update each classroom with a new ELMO projector that turns our whiteboard into an interactive whiteboard. During these past two months, my students and I have been exploring our new interactive whiteboard and finding new ways to make learning more engaging.
A donation of an Apple TV will make learning fun and engaging.
I plan on using the Apple TV several ways. Sometimes I find a YouTube video or another multimedia tool that is relevant to the lesson I am teaching and having the Apple TV will allow me to stream it for the whole class to see. Streaming content will make it easier move around the classroom and interact with my students. I can display student work and use my iPad as a document camera. Having an Apple TV in the classroom will incite student participation because students can use the school’s MacBooks or their own devices to share their work with their peers.
