My students are in a full-time, ICT, second-grade classroom. Many of my students come from low-income families. Several are English language learners. There are a few that come from single-parent (or single-grandparent) households.
All of my students are unique individuals who are always eager to learn and be engaged in exciting activities.
My diverse second graders come from a variety of backgrounds and have different needs and wants. All of my students are eager to learn, with open minds, ready to be filled with knowledge.
Our class has become their second family. They are very energetic and enjoy working with each other, love projects and strive to do their best. All in all, they are a group of awesome kids!
My Project
My students use technology daily in my classroom, to practice math facts, research, and have fun. However, my current tablets are outdated and difficult to use. They are hard for the children to navigate. Seeing the frustration on my students' faces when they can't do what they need because of having these tablets makes it hard for everyone to do their work independently.
I want them to be able to have access to the latest and greatest learning tools that the iPads used to provide.
I am hoping that having at least 2 new iPads will bring back the excitement in using technology in the classroom.
