I teach 8th grade math in a rural Arkansas town. My students are smart, creative, and hard working kids with bright futures ahead of them. My students are masters of technology and can do just about anything with technology when given the proper tools.
My Project
I have requested two more touch screen tablets for my students. With the devices being touch screen, it opens up the possibility of students writing and modeling their answers. I have access to a few touch screen devices for my students, but not all students have access. With these two tablets, all of my students would have an opportunity to use the tablets to improve their math skills.
Not all students learn the same or at the same pace.
With these tablets I would be able to find different and engaging ways of getting my students to think and learn mathematics.
