This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My second grade students are one of a kind. Each one enters my room coming from many different backgrounds and ethnicities which adds to my melting pot of a classroom. These are the kids that if you look them in their eyes, you have no idea what they just came from or had to experience before they reached my classroom door. Yet, despite the challenges, they are up against they show up every day, with a smile across their face and eager, ready and willing to learn! They ask questions, they challenge theories, and they want answers! They are creative thinkers who, when given the opportunity, will take the ball and run with it. My second graders are the CEOs, entrepreneurs, inventors, and scientists of the future!
My Project
These materials would make a huge difference in my student's lives. With such large class sizes and limited technology, I am unable to prepare these students for the future. We live in a technology driven world where we must know how to use and navigate our way around the internet and various programs. These materials would help me prepare the students with college and career readiness , by sharpening the skills needed to advance in the world, once they step out of my classroom.
By researching and discovering on these new iPads, my students will be able to deepen their background knowledge of subjects and topics they are unfamiliar with or have never been exposed to.
These tools will set my students up for success in their future!
