Remember learning to read and getting frustrated? Many of my students become very frustrated when they try to read and want to give up. However, with new games for our Leapsters and all the great learning apps on the IPAD their frustration will be minimized.
I am team teaching 36 First graders.
My students attend a high poverty school with over 200 friends in their graduating class. Most of my students thrive for lots of individual attention. They are full of life and love to share with you everything that is going on in their life.
My Project
The IPAD mini has hundreds of educational apps, which are suited for all skill levels. With its handheld capabilities, my students will be able to work individually. The Leapster games are a great tool for my students to increase their reading skills, without feeling self conscious.
Having handheld learning tools for my students will improve their reading skills, while at the same time, help them not feel shy about their reading abilities.
These teaching tools will also provide my students with individual learning time, which will reinforce reading strategies I am already teaching.
