Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I’m working with students who are learning English as a second language, and I want to provide them with the best resources possible to support their growth.
To enhance their learning experience, I am seeking a donation of one MacBook and two iPads.
Students will use the iPads and MacBook to enhance their learning in interactive, engaging, and meaningful ways. These tools will support their development in reading, writing, listening, and speaking English, especially for students who are English language learners (ELLs). Here’s how they’ll benefit: Students will use iPads and the MacBook to access educational apps like Duolingo, Epic!, Raz-Kids, and FluentU to build vocabulary, phonics, and reading comprehension skills through games, videos, and interactive lessons. These devices will allow students to access interactive language apps, practice pronunciation, and engage with educational content tailored to their needs. Having this technology would make a significant difference in their ability to learn and thrive. Using the MacBook, students can create digital presentations, write stories, or record themselves reading aloud using tools like iMovie, GarageBand, or Google Slides.
