This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Imagine being able to find an abundance of information online and learning with technology, well that's exactly what my students need in order to motivate them to gather information on topics we are learning about and have fun doing it.

My students come from a low social economic area in Los Angeles.

Most of them do not have any form of technology in their homes. Our classroom has one out dated computer. Many of my students do not know basic computer skills because they don't have the proper equipment in order to practice on a daily bases. Having technology that is up to date will motivate my students to learn in a way that is new to them.

My Project

Having technology in the classroom will motivate my students to learn because information will be presented with the use of the laptop. I will project most of the instruction by using Microsoft word, power point, and other form to engage my students. Students will be able to navigate the web and find information they will need for any research projects I assign. They will be able to use a camera to document their learning and learn how to put photographs online to show others what they have learned.

Donating to our project will help my students feel important because they will now have things that many other schools have had.

They will be motivated and engage in instruction because information will be presented different. Students will learn basic skills in technology and will learn how to research information online.
