My students need a television with a HDMI cable, TV stand, remotes, a paper storage unit and 8 chairs for the coding and engineering classroom. We will also use the shelves to display student work.
My students are amazing. They are constantly coming up with new and innovative ways to create projects. Students work in groups to complete projects and rotate supervisor positions to help manage their individual skills. They use the engineering design process for all of their projects.
My students are eager to explore the world and technologies in the classroom.
In my classroom, my students live by the quote, "Design. Build. Transform." We are always looking for new and innovative ways to explore technology and the world around us.
I teach middle school Technology Education to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. We are a public school. There are approximately 120 students in each grade level. Technology Education classes are required for all grades. We also offer two elective classes for 7th and 8th grade students.
My Project
We are requesting materials to finalize the transformation of our classroom to a modern one that will focus on coding and engineering. The students have compiled ideas of how to make this transformation.
We are requesting a television, stand, and controllers to help with coding. We also would like to have comfortable chairs that are foldable for when we are testing our coding and games. We also are in need of display cases to show student work and that is why we are requesting the bookcases. Also, we need paper storage areas to help organize our paperwork while utilizing the design process for our projects.
Students will work in groups to use the design process to create new and innovative solutions to problems.
This will allow them to explore the design process from beginning to end.
Students do not have much space to explore Technology Education or many resources. By giving them this opportunity, you will be helping them to envision a whole new world of engineering and computer science.
