Technology to Create Video Content for our School Community

My Project

Our fledgling media program is looking to get the computer resources we need to be able to grow and serve our school community.

We launched a media/journalism class that produces, shoots, and edits video content for our school in hope of keeping our students better informed and connected to the campus community.

Our weekly broadcast hopes to spotlight teams, clubs, and individuals as well as create advertising for campus events. In doing so, we can better connect our students to campus spirit and increase campus engagement.

But... we are hitting a technology wall that is stopping us from growing further and fully serving our community. We are hindered by our decade-old editting computer which struggles to process videos and locks us out of key features we need. Those features (such as Transcribing to Captions) prevent us from fully integrating captions, which would vastly help our DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) population.

Please help us get a laptop which will help us create the video content that will serve our community.
