I teach in a self-contained special education 2nd and 3rd grade classroom. Our classroom is just one of four self-contained special education classrooms at our school. In our classroom we work on a variety of skills from potty training, to social skills, and academic skills as well.
My Project
Help me give my students a differentiated way to complete online work. My students have a variety of special needs that make it hard for them to use a mouse and traditional computer to complete work online. If we are able to get an iPad for our classroom the students will be able to express their knowledge in new ways and participate in many activities that only caused frustration and anxiety before. These will be used to practice occupational skills such as tracing, speech skills such as echoing and answering questions, and academic skills in apps like Boomcards.
